Every day I meet people who are struggling to afford their mortgages or rents, who cannot get an NHS or dentist appointment, and who are worried about their children’s future.

After 14 years of the Conservatives, it’s time for change.

There are no easy solutions but, as a shadow Treasury minister, I have helped develop Labour’s plans. If we win, my priorities for Ealing North will be:

Tackle the cost-of-living crisis

With economic stability, a growing economy, and keeping taxes, inflation, and mortgages as low as possible.

Cut NHS waiting times

With more evening and weekend appointments every week, paid for by a crack down on tax avoidance and non-doms.

More affordable housing

With new council and social housing, and new homes for first-time buyers, alongside a better deal for private renters.

Crack down on anti-social behaviour

With more neighbourhood police, paid for by cutting wasteful procurement, alongside a new network of youth hubs.

Set up ‘Great British Energy’

With our new, publicly-owned clean power company, paid for by a stronger windfall tax, we will cut bills and boost energy security
