My priorities
In 2024 Labour formed a new government after 14 years of the Conservatives.
The public finances and public services had been left in a mess, but we have set to work making the changes we need as a country.
There are no easy solutions but some of my priorities for Ealing North are:
Tackle the cost-of-living crisis
With economic stability, a growing economy, and keeping taxes, inflation, and mortgages as low as possible.
Cut NHS waiting times
With more evening and weekend appointments every week, paid for by a crack down on tax avoidance and non-doms.
More affordable housing
With new council and social housing, and new homes for first-time buyers, alongside a better deal for private renters.
Crack down on anti-social behaviour
With more neighbourhood police, paid for by cutting wasteful procurement, alongside a new network of youth hubs.
Set up ‘Great British Energy’
With our new, publicly-owned clean power company, paid for by a stronger windfall tax, we will cut bills and boost energy security
